"Attending births is like growing roses. You have to marvel at the ones that just open up and bloom at the first kiss of the sun, but you wouldn't dream of pulling open the petals of the tightly closed buds and forcing them to blossom to your timeline."

  • Meet Your Birth Doula

    All About Me

Welcome! My name is Gabrielle Palinkas, but you can call me Gabby! I am a birth doula ready to help families have the best birth experience possible! I support all births, whether you want to birth at home with no medication or in a hospital with a planned c-section. I believe that your birth should be all about you!

When I'm not helping families I am a "fur-baby" mom of 3, one labrador puppy and 2 snuggly kitties. I love to read and crochet in my downtime. Baby blankets are one of my favorite things to make and I just joined a group that makes special items for preemie babys in the NICU. Last year i participated in my first 5k and this year I'm partipating in my first mud run and training for my first 10K!

    My Doula Journey

I am a fully trained birth doula on my way to certification through DONA International! I completed all of my required education for certification in January 2024. I am very excited to be certified through DONA International, the leader in evidence-based doula training, certification, and continuing education.

As a birth doula I am there to provide physical and emotional support to you throughout pregnancy and birth, as well as support your birthing partner to be as involved in your birth as they wish to be. I also provide evidence-based resources to prepare you to make informed decisions that are best for you and your growing family.

How I'm Growing as a Doula

One of my focuses is to keep expanding on my knowledge and services to better support my clients. I am very excited to learn more about pain management, postpartum support, and lactation support especially!

I am in the works of being able to provide TENS unit therapy to my clients, education on the best essential oils for birth and how to use them, baby wearing classes for all the different kinds of wraps and carriers, and so much more!

    Timeline

    • January 2024 - Completed DONA Internationl approved birth and lactation education
  • Additional Services

    TENS UNIT USAGE

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, or TENS, can be used during birth to assist with pain. I bring a TENS unit with me to every birth for my families to use when requested at no additional charge. TENS unit usage and benefits can be discussed at our prenatal meetings.

*Cannot be used in the water*

    BIRTH POOL RENTAL

To support your personal home birth experience, I provide birth pool rentals for those wishing to use one. The birth pool comes with all required equipment to inflate, fill, and empty the pool. For sanitary purposes, every rental includes a disposable pool liner. Delivery and pick up are included.

    ESSENTIAL OILS TOOL KIT

Essential oils can be helpful to empower, rejuvenate, focus, inspire, and soothe during birth. My essential oils tool kit includes the 10 best oils for birth along with all of the tools to get the most support from their usage. We will discuss any oils you may want to use, or choose to avoid, during our prenatal meetings.

    HELPING HANDS SUPPORT

Pregnancy and post partum can be a lot to handle, but I'm here to help! I provide assistance with building your registry, baby shower planning, nursery decoration, post partum meal prep, and more.

    DIAPER CAKES

I love to get crafty and I find that diaper cakes make the best gift for every baby shower, or just a great decoration for the cake table! (Turn it into a game of who can guess how many diapers.)

  • Why 'Lavender Rose'?

Growing up I was very close with my grandmother. She always cheered me on, believed in me, and supported my dreams. She is no longer with me, but I carry her in my heart every day. Her favorite flower was the yellow rose. I love to find the symbolism in things and yellow roses hold a meaning of friendship, caring, and optimism. So why didn't I choose yellow roses? My favorite color, and hers, is purple. Purple roses have a tie to royalty, and emit feelings of enchantment and majesty, but roses of a lighter shade of purple, lavender, symbolize love at first sight. I felt lavender roses were the perfect symbol for birth. You will surely experience love at first sight when you first meet your baby!
